About JP's Sports and Rock Solid Promotions

Our Mission Statement

To provide the collector with the best Autograph Signings and Sports Memorabilia Shows in the tri-state area.

JP’s Sports & Rock Solid Promotions (JPRS) Sports Card and Memorabilia Shows are the best and the largest in the tri-state area.  Held 5 times annually at the Westchester County Center in White Plains, New York. In addition, twice a year we host shows on the campus of Hofstra University in Long Island. JPRS has hosted 120 shows since its inception in 2005.  Each show typically hosts 15 to 30 autograph guests, including current and former players, fan favorites, and Hall of Famers from most major sports.  JPRS is owned and operated by Jim Ryan and Brian Coppola, true “die hard” collectors/dealers in the sports memorabilia industry.  Both tour the country’s largest sports card events in search of sports cards, memorabilia, and autograph inventory, as well as new show ideas and processes.

At JPRS, we do our best to make our shows and autograph signings affordable for the customer, and as part of this commitment, we offer free autograph guests with paid admission at each show.  We also support charities by holding raffles to help them raise money for a variety of different causes, and at each show, we raffle off door prizes and hand out giveaways to kids under 12.

We offer “Super Tickets”, discounted tickets for themed autograph signings from multiple guests, such as the Jets’ famed New York Sack Exchange,  The 1969 New York Mets reunion, and 1994 Reunion of the Rangers Stanley Cup, 1969 New York Jets Reunion to name a few.

Westchester County Center, White Plains NY

Our annual show calendar for White Plains typically runs January, March, August, October, and our “Thanksgiving Show” in November of each calendar year. 4 of these 5 shows are held in the main exhibitor area of the Westchester County Center, a 26,000 square foot room that can comfortably hold 300 tables of merchandise from over 100 dealers! Our August show, the “East Coast National”, is our most popular, and is the same one originally created by former owners Gloria and Dean Rothstein, who hosted shows in White Plains for nearly 25 years.

Hofstra University

The Hofstra University show originated in 2003, when Jim Ryan decided to set his sights and efforts on rebuilding the slowing sports card show that Steven Hisler previously hosted in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Since then, 30+ enormously successful shows have been hosted at Hofstra inside the university’s 36,000 square foot exhibitor hall/gymnasium, the largest facility currently being used to host recurring sports memorabilia shows. As an example, in October of 2011, the Hofstra show hosted a reunion of the 1986 New York Mets, where 34 players and coaches of the famed World Champion team were in attendance, including Hall of Fame Player/Announcer Ralph Kiner, as well as a special appearance by Bill Buckner. We hosted 60 player lineups in a single weekend, as well as A-Level Autograph talent for the last ten years. August 2021 was our best single one day total attendance for all JP's Sports shows in History. The boiling hot Sports Card market help to mark this great milestone.

And Finally …

JPRS is committed to supplying the collector with premium sports memorabilia and services at fair prices. Over the past few years, JPRS has partnered with several major players in the sports memorabilia industry. PSA, Beckett Grading Services, James Spence Authentication, Memory Lane Auctions, Huggins and Scott Auctions, Heritage Auctions, and many more are frequent attendees of JPRS Shows.

We realize that without customer and dealer support, our shows would be nothing, and we appreciate all of our loyal patrons throughout the years. JPRS would like to thank everyone for all of their continued support, and we hope to be running for shows for the next 30 years!
